     Arthur Monypenny is the son of James Monypenny.²

     James Monypenny was born on 17 October 1670.¹ He was the son of Arthur Monypenny.² He married Mary Gybbon, daughter of John Gybbon, on 31 May 1714.¹ He died on 23 October 1721 at age 51.¹
     He was Captain of the Royal Navy in 1697.¹ He gained the rank of First Lieutenant in 1704 in the Sir George Rooke's flagship at the capture of Gibraltar and Battle of Malaga.¹ They also had other issue.¹ He lived at Great Maytham, Rolvenden, Kent, England.¹

     Mary Gybbon was the daughter of John Gybbon.² She married James Monypenny, son of Arthur Monypenny, on 31 May 1714.¹ She died circa 7 June 1756.¹ She was buried on 10 June 1756.¹
     She lived at The Hole, Rolvenden, Kent, England.¹ From 31 May 1714, her married name became Monypenny.¹ They also had other issue.¹

     James Monypenny was the son of James Monypenny and Mary Gybbon.² He died, young.¹

     Robert Monypenny was baptised on 12 September 1718.¹ He was the son of James Monypenny and Mary Gybbon.² A settlement for the marriage between him and Mary Dent was made on 21 May 1757.¹ He died circa 1 April 1772.¹ He was buried on 4 April 1772.¹

     Mary Dent was the daughter of Reverend Unknown Dent.² A settlement for the marriage between her and Robert Monypenny was made on 21 May 1757.¹ She died circa 6 December 1775.¹ She was buried on 9 December 1775.¹
     Her married name became Monypenny.¹

     Phillips Monypenny was baptised on 21 September 1719.¹ He was the son of James Monypenny and Mary Gybbon.² He was buried on 2 June 1720.¹

     James Monypenny was born on 7 October 1721.¹ He was the son of James Monypenny and Mary Gybbon.² He married Sylvestra Blackwell, daughter of Reverend Thomas Blackwell.¹ He died on 11 May 1800 at age 78.¹
     He lived at Maytham Hall, Rolvenden, Kent, England.¹
