     Sir Henry Peto, 2nd Bt. was born on 10 August 1840.1 He was the son of Sir Samuel Morton Peto, 1st Bt. and Mary Grissell.2 He married Mary Ann Susan Fuller, daughter of Reverend Thomas Fuller, on 16 July 1874.1 He died on 6 April 1938 at age 97, without issue.1
     He graduated from London University, London, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was admitted to the Inner Temple entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He held the office of County Councillor (C.C.) of Dorset between 1886 and 1913.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dorset.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Peto, of Sommerleyton, co. Suffolk [U.K., 1855] on 13 November 1889.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Dorset between 1897 and 1898.1
