     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the under Count Mansfeld and the Duke of Brunswick.1 He fought in the Thirty Years War.1

Francis Osborne1

     Francis Osborne was born on 26 September 1593.1 He was the son of Sir John Osborne and Dorothy Barlee.2 He married Anna Ufflet, daughter of William Ufflet.1 He died on 4 February 1658 at age 64.1
     He was a Parliamentarian during the Civil War.1 He was Treasurer's Remembrancer.1 He was Master Horse to 3rd Earl of Pembroke.1 He wrote the book Advice to a Son, published 1656.1 He wrote the book Tradition Memoirs of Reigns of Queen Elizabeth and King James I, published 1658.1 He had two sons and three daughters.1
