     Maria Anne Sutherland was born on 5 June 1816 at Bombay, India.2 She married Lt.-Gen. David Staig Babington, son of Reverend Charles Maitland Babington and Lilias Staig, on 30 August 1838 at Madras, India.1 She died on 3 April 1906 at age 89 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.2
     From 30 August 1838, her married name became Babington.1

     Matilda Fotheringham is the daughter of Thomas Fotheringham of Powrie.2 She married Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, son of James Ogilvy, in 1588.1
     From 1588, her married name became Ogilvy.

     Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 1st Bt. was the son of Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity and Matilda Fotheringham.2 He married Anne Irvine, daughter of Alexander Irvine, 9th of Drum and Lady Marion Douglas, on 16 September 1622.1 He died before 1663.1
     He was created 1st Baronet Ogilvy, of Inverquharity, Forfarshire [Nova Scotia] on 29 September 1626, with special remainder to his heirs male whatsoever.1 He lived at Inverquharity, Forfar, Scotland.1

     Alexander Ogilvy was the son of Sir John Ogilvy of Inverquharity, 1st Bt. and Anne Irvine.2 He died on 23 October 1646, executed.1
     He fought in the Battle of Brechin.1 He fought in the English Civil War, as a Royalist.1 He fought in the Battle of Kilsyth on 15 August 1645.1 He fought in the Battle of Philiphaugh on 13 September 1645, where he was captured.1
