     Edward Nugent was the son of Thomas Nugent and Catherine Ashe.2 He married, firstly, Mary Nugent, daughter of Edward Nugent, in 1703.1 He married, secondly, Eleanor Dowde, daughter of Charles Dowde, in 1724.1 He died in 1733, He had four sons by his second wife.1
     He lived at Donore, County Westmeath, Ireland, Donore.1
