     Edward Herbert Nightingale was born on 15 April 1821.1 He was the son of Alexander Malcolm Nightingale and Marianne Beaver.2 He married Sophia Blackall, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Robert Blackall.1 He died on 5 May 1856 at age 35.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 23rd Regiment Madras Light Infantry.1

     Sophia Blackall is the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Robert Blackall.2 She married, firstly, Edward Herbert Nightingale, son of Alexander Malcolm Nightingale and Marianne Beaver.1 She married Lt.-Col. J. W. Carter.1
     Her married name became Carter.1 From 18 October 1865, her married name became Nightingale.

     Lt.-Col. Manners Randolph Nightingale was born on 30 April 1823.1 He was the son of Alexander Malcolm Nightingale and Marianne Beaver.2 He married Elizabeth Ann Stevens, daughter of Bryan William Stevens, on 15 May 1851.1 He died on 25 July 1892 at age 69.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1855 in the Bengal Staff Corps.1

     Elizabeth Ann Stevens was the daughter of Bryan William Stevens.2 She married Lt.-Col. Manners Randolph Nightingale, son of Alexander Malcolm Nightingale and Marianne Beaver, on 15 May 1851.1 She died in 1889.1
     She was Northamptonshire.1 She lived Weston.1 From 15 May 1851, her married name became Nightingale.

     Charles Alexander Malcolm Nightingale was born on 12 May 1853.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Manners Randolph Nightingale and Elizabeth Ann Stevens.2 He married Caroline Johnson, daughter of W. Johnson, in 1878.1 He died in May 1905.1

     From 1878, her married name became Nightingale.
