     Captain Timothy Algernon Lumley-Smith was the son of Major Sir Thomas Gabriel Lumley Lumley-Smith.2 He married Ruth Napier, daughter of Mark Napier and Elizabeth Sprigge, on 12 February 1944.1 He died in 1979.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 17th/21st Lancers.1

     Alan William Napier was born on 7 January 1903 at King's Norton, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Claude Gerald Napier-Clavering and Millicent Mary Kenrick.3 He married, firstly, Emily Nancy Bevill Pethybridge, daughter of Frank Pethybridge and Alice Emily Allen Radford, in 1930.1 He and Emily Nancy Bevill Pethybridge were divorced in 1944.1 He married, secondly, Aileen Dickens Bourchier Hawksley, daughter of Ernest Bourchier Hawksley, in 1944.1 He died on 8 August 1988 at age 85 at Santa Monica, California, U.S.A.1,2
     He was given the name of Alan William Napier-Clavering at birth.1 He was educated at Clifton College, Clifton, Bristol, EnglandG.1 He was a film actor.1 He was naturalized as a U.S. citizen in 1952.1 In 1952 his name was legally changed to Alan William Napier.1
