     John Stewart was the son of Sir Archibald Stewart of Blackhall, 1st Bt. and Ann Crawfurd.1 He married Rebecca Wallace, daughter of Michael Wallace, on 13 March 1700.1 He died in April 1713.1
     He was a practising Advocate in 1692.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Renfrewshire between 1700 and 1704.1

     From 13 March 1700, her married name became Stewart.

     Sir Archibald Stewart of Blackhall, 2nd Bt. was the son of John Stewart and Rebecca Wallace.1 He died in April 1724, unmarried.1
     He was a practising Advocate.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Stewart, of Greenock and Blackhall, co. Renfrew [N.S., 1667] circa 1722.1
