     Lt.-Col. Hon. Michael George Edwardes was born on 29 July 1910.1 He was the son of Hugh Edwardes, 6th Baron Kensington and Mabel Carlisle Pilkington.1 He married Sylvia Inez Pakenham Johnstone, daughter of Colonel Hope Johnstone and Lilian Ada Stocker, on 22 August 1946.1 He died in 1985.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Rifle Brigade.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1944.1 He was admitted to Gentlemen-at-Arms in 1959.1 He was appointed Commander, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (C.St.J.) in 1976.1

     Sylvia Inez Pakenham Johnstone was born in 1901. She is the daughter of Colonel Hope Johnstone and Lilian Ada Stocker.1 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Alfred Joseph Thoburn McGaw, son of John Thoburn McGaw and Pauline Blanche Tate.2 She married, secondly, Lt.-Col. Hon. Michael George Edwardes, son of Hugh Edwardes, 6th Baron Kensington and Mabel Carlisle Pilkington, on 22 August 1946.2
     Her married name became McGaw.2 Her married name became Edwardes.

Colonel Hope Johnstone1

     Colonel Hope Johnstone was born in 1868 at Portsea, Hampshire, EnglandG. He was the son of Edward Martin Johnstone and Elizabeth Mary Pakenham.1 He married Lilian Ada Stocker. He died in 1939.
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Artillery. His Christian name was Hope and the family have no ties with the Scottish Hope-Johnstone family as far as I know. He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)

     William Owen Alexander Edwardes, 9th Baron Kensington usually went by his middle name of Owen.1 He was educated at Michaelhouse School, Balgowan, Natal, South AfricaG.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baron Kensington [I., 1776] circa 2018. He succeeded as the 6th Baron Kensington of Kensington, co. Middlesex [U.K., 1886] circa 2018.
