General Sir John Murray of Dunerne, 8th Bt. was born circa 1768.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Murray of Dunerne, 6th Bt. and Susan Renton.2 He married Hon. Anne Elizabeth Cholmley Phipps, daughter of Constantine John Phipps, 2nd Baron Mulgrave of New Ross and Anne Elizabeth Cholmley, on 25 August 1807.1 He died on 15 October 1827, without issue.1
He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Hanoverian Order (G.C.H.)1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wootton Bassett between 1807 and 1811.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Weymouth between 1811 and 1818.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Murray, of Dunerne, co. Fife [N.S., 1630] on 26 April 1811.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1818 in the 56th Foot.1 He gained the rank of General in 1825.1 He gained the title of 8th Baronet Murray, of Dunerne. He lived at DunerneG.

Sir Robert Murray of Dunerne, 11th Bt. was born on 1 February 1815.1 He was the son of Reverend Sir William Murray of Dunerne, 9th Bt. and Esther Jane Gayton.2 He married, firstly, Susan Catherine Sanders Murray, daughter of John Murray, on 21 August 1839.1 He married, secondly, Laura Taylor, daughter of Reverend Charles Taylor, on 1 December 1868.1 He died on 15 April 1894 at age 79.1
