     William Earle Molesworth was born on 14 March 1894.1 He was the son of Colonel William Molesworth and Winifred Anne Weeks.2 He married Dorothy Loftus Steele, daughter of Colonel St. George Loftus Steele, on 1 June 1918.1 He died on 22 October 1955 at age 61.1
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Munster Fusiliers, Royal Flying Corps, and Royal Air Force.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1917 and bar (1918.)1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in 1941 in the Royal Tank Regiment.1 He was with the Ministry of Supply between 1941 and 1954.1
