     Adam de Pilkington was the son of Sir Alexander de Pilkington and Alice de Chetham.² He married Matilda de Penulbury, daughter of Elias de Penulbury.¹ He died in 1298, from a wound inflicted by Henry del Wode.¹
     He lived at Bolton, Lancashire, England.¹ In 1284 he held in right of his wife the Manor of Wickleswick in Barton, disposing of his life-interest to William de Penulbury (his wife's uncle) in 1291.¹ He lived at Sharples, Lancashire, England.¹

     Elias de Penulbury was feudal Lord of Wickleswick and Pendlebury.¹

     Matilda de Penulbury was the daughter of Elias de Penulbury.² She married Adam de Pilkington, son of Sir Alexander de Pilkington and Alice de Chetham.¹ She died in 1290.¹

     Amery de Barton was the daughter of Sir Gilbert de Barton.² She married Sir Roger de Pilkington, son of Sir Alexander de Pilkington and Alice de Chetham.¹ She died in 1294/95.¹

     Sir Roger de Pilkington was born circa 1291.¹ He was the son of Sir Roger de Pilkington and Amery de Barton.² He married Alicia de Bury, daughter of Henry de Bury and Margery de Radclyffe.¹ He died in 1343.¹
     He was Lord of the Manors of Pilkington, Cheetham and Crompton.¹ He served in Guienne under King Edward II.¹

     Alicia de Bury was the daughter of Henry de Bury and Margery de Radclyffe.¹ She married Sir Roger de Pilkington, son of Sir Roger de Pilkington and Amery de Barton.¹ She died circa 1374.¹

     Sir Roger de Pilkington was born circa 1325.¹ He was the son of Sir Roger de Pilkington and Alicia de Bury.² He died on 2 January 1406/7.¹
     He was Lord of the Manors of Pilkington, Cheetham and Crompton.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Lancashire in 1350.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lancashire.¹

     Robert de Pilkington was born circa 1329.¹ He was the son of Sir Roger de Pilkington and Alicia de Bury.² He died circa 1399, probably unmarried.¹
     He campaigned in France, Spain and Scotland.¹

     Henry de Pilkington is the son of Sir Roger de Pilkington and Alicia de Bury.²
     In 1374 he went abroad with Sir Edward le Despenser.¹
