     Donald Maclachlan was born on 3 March 1866.1 He was the son of George Maclachlan, 21st of Maclachlan and Mary Thow.2 He died on 1 February 1900 at age 33 at Venters Spruit, Natal, South Africa, on active service of wounds received in action.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the RIF, 21st Lancers.1 He fought in the Boer War.1

Admiral Crawford Maclachlan1

     Admiral Crawford Maclachlan was born on 11 July 1867.1 He was the son of George Maclachlan, 21st of Maclachlan and Mary Thow.2 He died in 1952, unmarried.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun of Japan.1 He was awarded the Order of St. Olaf of Norway.1 He was commander of the HMS King Edward VII and Royal Oak, Grand Fleet.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1918.1 He gained the rank of Admiral in the Royal Navy.1 He held the office of Naval Aide-de-Camp to HM King George V between 1919 and 1920.1 He was Rear-Admiral of the Reserve Fleet between 1920 and 1921.1 He was Senior Naval Officer of the Yangste between 1921 and 1923.1

     G/Capt. Ulrick John Deane Bourke was born on 13 April 1884.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Sir George Deane Bourke and Mary Morrow Stairs.1 He married Irene Ashurst, daughter of Lewis Ashurst, in 1917.1 He and Irene Ashurst were divorced in 1932.1 He died on 4 March 1948 at age 63.1
     He fought in the First World War, and was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.1 He gained the rank of Group Captain in the Royal Air Force.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.1

     From 1917, her married name became Bourke.1
