     He lived at Carlops, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1

     Josephine Bennett was the daughter of William Bennett.2 She married Aeneas Ranaldson Macdonell, 16th of Glengarry, son of Colonel Alexander Ranaldson Macdonell, 15th of Glengarry and Rebecca Forbes, on 18 December 1833.1 She died on 5 July 1857.1
     From 18 December 1833, her married name became Macdonell.

     Alexander Ranaldson Macdonell, 17th of Glengarry was born on 5 October 1837.1 He was the son of Aeneas Ranaldson Macdonell, 16th of Glengarry and Josephine Bennett.2 He died on 2 June 1862 at age 24 at Dunedin, New Zealand, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 7th Lord Macdonell [Scotland, 1716] on 19 January 1852, Jacobite.1 He emigrated to New Zealand.1

     Aeneas Robert Macdonell was born in 1835.1 He was the son of Aeneas Ranaldson Macdonell, 16th of Glengarry and Josephine Bennett.2 He died on 15 December 1855, drowned in the Medway.1

Charles Ranaldson Macdonell, 18th of Glengarry1

     Charles Ranaldson Macdonell, 18th of Glengarry was born in 1838.1 He was the son of Aeneas Ranaldson Macdonell, 16th of Glengarry and Josephine Bennett.2 He married Agnes Campbell Cassels, daughter of Alexander Cassels, in 1865.1 He died on 28 June 1868, without issue, at sea on his way home from New Zealand.1
     He succeeded as the 8th Lord Macdonell [Scotland, 1716] on 2 June 1862, Jacobite.1
