     Elizabeth Jessie Malet was the daughter of Lt.-Col. George Grenville Malet and Mary Maria Fleming Taylor.² She married Sydney Eggers Bates, son of Sir Edward Bates, 1st Bt. and Ellen Thompson, on 9 July 1878.² She died on 13 October 1940.¹
     From 9 July 1878, her married name became Bates.

     Leah Mary Preeston was born in 1855.¹ She was the daughter of Henry Augustus Preeston and Martha Blanche Southwell.¹ She died in 1855.¹

     Arthur Malet was born on 7 November 1806.¹ He was the son of Sir Charles Warre Malet, 1st Bt. and Susanna Wales.² He married, firstly, Mary Sophia Willoughby, daughter of Sir John Pollard Willoughby, 4th Bt., on 3 September 1846.¹ He married, secondly, Annie Louisa Thompson, daughter of George Powney Thompson, in December 1854.¹ He died on 13 September 1888 at age 81.¹
     He held the office of Member of the Council of Bombay.¹

     Rt. Rev. Francis Nixon was born in August 1803.² He was the son of Reverend Robert Nixon and Ann Russel.^2,3 He died on 7 April 1879 at age 75 at Lake Maggiore, Italy.²
     He was educated at Merchant Taylors' School, London, England^G.² He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1827 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)² He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)² He held the office of Bishop of Tasmania between 1842 and March 1863.¹ He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)²

     Mary Sophia Willoughby was the daughter of Sir John Pollard Willoughby, 4th Bt.² She married Arthur Malet, son of Sir Charles Warre Malet, 1st Bt. and Susanna Wales, on 3 September 1846.¹ She died on 6 October 1853.¹
     From 3 September 1846, her married name became Malet.

     Edith Eliza Rose Malet was the daughter of Arthur Malet and Mary Sophia Willoughby.² She married Lt.-Col. Francis William Nixon, son of Rt. Rev. Francis Nixon, on 1 August 1872.¹ She died on 19 March 1924.¹
     From 1 August 1872, her married name became Nixon.

     Lt.-Col. Francis William Nixon was the son of Rt. Rev. Francis Nixon.¹ He married Edith Eliza Rose Malet, daughter of Arthur Malet and Mary Sophia Willoughby, on 1 August 1872.¹ He died on 15 January 1924.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Engineers.¹

     George Powney Thompson was in the Honourable East India Company Service.¹
