     From 9 July 1878, her married name became Bates.

     Arthur Malet was born on 7 November 1806.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Warre Malet, 1st Bt. and Susanna Wales.2 He married, firstly, Mary Sophia Willoughby, daughter of Sir John Pollard Willoughby, 4th Bt., on 3 September 1846.1 He married, secondly, Annie Louisa Thompson, daughter of George Powney Thompson, in December 1854.1 He died on 13 September 1888 at age 81.1
     He held the office of Member of the Council of Bombay.1

     Rt. Rev. Francis Nixon was born in August 1803.2 He was the son of Reverend Robert Nixon and Ann Russel.2,3 He died on 7 April 1879 at age 75 at Lake Maggiore, Italy.2
     He was educated at Merchant Taylors' School, London, EnglandG.2 He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1827 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He held the office of Bishop of Tasmania between 1842 and March 1863.1 He graduated from St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)2

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Engineers.1
