James Macnab1

     James Macnab was born on 22 March 1759.1 He was the son of James Macnab and Anne Cowan.2 He was baptised on 28 March 1759 at Moulin, Perthshire, Scotland.3 He married Mary McLaren, daughter of Alexander McLaren, on 20 October 1789.1 He died on 2 August 1822 at age 63.1
     In 1798 he was served heir as eldest lawful son to his father.1 He gained the rank of Surgeon between 1798 and 1814 in the Honourable East India Company Service.1 He was Civil Surgeon of Patna before 1816.1 He purchased West Haugh in 1817.1 He lived in 1818 at Arthurstone, Perthshire, Scotland, which he purchased.1

     Mary McLaren was the daughter of Alexander McLaren.2 She married James Macnab, son of James Macnab and Anne Cowan, on 20 October 1789.1 She died on 27 August 1847.1
     From 20 October 1789, her married name became Macnab.

     Reverend Dr. Donald Campbell was born circa 1759.2 He was the son of John Campbell and Margaret Macleod.2 He married Mary MacLeod, daughter of John MacLeod, 11th of Raasay and Jane Macqueen. He died on 17 January 1843.2

     Sir Donald Campbell Macnab was born on 5 January 1834.1 He was the son of James Munro Macnab and Jane Mary Campbell.2 He died on 30 January 1913 at age 79, unmarried.1
     In 1853 served in the Honourable East India Company Service and in the Indian Civil Service.1 He was Commissioner of Rawalpindi, Lahore and Peshawar.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Star of India (C.S.I.) in 1881.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (K.C.I.E.) in 1887.1

John Campbell Erskine Macnab1

     John Campbell Erskine Macnab was born on 5 June 1838.1 He was the son of James Munro Macnab and Jane Mary Campbell.2 He died on 10 May 1857 at age 18 at Meerut, India, murdered.1
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1
