     Very Rev. Edward Craig Maclure was born on 10 June 1833.1 He was the son of John McClure and Elizabeth Kearsley.2 He married Mary Ann Gedge, daughter of Johnson Gedge and Marianne Thomas Denny, in May 1863.1 He died on 8 May 1906 at age 72.1
     He was given the name of Edward Craig McClure at birth.1 He was (an unknown value) between 1857 and 1861 at St .John's Ladywood, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.1 He graduated with a Doctor of Divinity (D.D.)1 He held the office of Dean of Manchester.1 He was Curate between 1861 and 1863 at St. Pancras, London, England.1 He was Vicar between 1863 and 1877 at Harbergham-Eaves, England.1 He was Vicar between 1877 and 1890 at Rochdale, Lancashire, England.1 He held the office of Hon.      Mary Ann Gedge was baptised on 19 November 1835 at St. Mary Bury, St. Edmunds, Suffolk, England.2 She was the daughter of Johnson Gedge and Marianne Thomas Denny.3,2 She married Very Rev. Edward Craig Maclure, son of John McClure and Elizabeth Kearsley, in May 1863.1 She died circa 17 October 1905.2 She was buried on 20 October 1905.2
     From May 1863, her married name became Maclure.

     Sir John William Maclure, 1st Bt. was born on 22 April 1835.1 He was the son of John McClure and Elizabeth Kearsley.2 He married Eleanor Nettleship, daughter of Thomas Nettleship, on 13 December 1859.1 He died on 28 January 1901 at age 65.2
     He was given the name of John William McClure at birth.1 He was Honorary Secretary of the Cotton Famine Relief Fund between 1862 and 1865.1 He gained the rank of Major in 1886 in the 40th Lancashire Rifle Volunteers.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Stretford between 1886 and 1901.1 He was created 1st Baronet Maclure, of The Home, Whalley Range, near Manchester, co.
