     Sir Hector Maclean, 7th Bt. was the son of Donald Maclean and Mary Dickson.2 He died on 2 November 1818, unmarried.1
     He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Maclean, of Morven, co. Argyll [N.S., 1631] on 10 December 1783.1

     Sir Fitzroy Jeffreys Grafton Maclean, 8th Bt. was the son of Donald Maclean and Margaret Wall.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Kidd, daughter of Charles Kidd, in 1794.1 He married, secondly, Frances Watkins, daughter of Reverend Henry Watkins, on 17 September 1838.1 He died on 5 July 1847.1
     He was commissioned in 1787, in the service of the Army.1 He assisted at the taking of Tobago, the attack on Martinique and Guadaloupe and the taking of St. Thomas and St. John.1 He held the office of Governor of St. Thomas and St. John in 1808.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Maclean, of Morven, co. Argyll [N.S., 1631] on 2 November 1818.1 He gained the rank of General in 1837.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in 1841 in the 54th Foot.1

     Sir John Maclean, 1st Bt. was born in 1604 at Duart Castle, Mull, Argyllshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Hector 'Og' Maclean, 11th of Duart and Morvern and Isabelle Acheson.3 He married, thirdly, Anna Thompson.2 He married, firstly, Anna Gubbertz in 1629 at Gotheburg, Sweden.2 He married, secondly, Lilian Hamilton on 30 December 1655.2 He died on 7 July 1666.2
     He was also known as John Makeléer.2 He was ancestor of the extinct Counts Maclean of Sweden.1 He was created 1st Baronet Maclean [England] in May 1649.2
