     Mary Howley was the daughter of Edward Howley and Mary Anne Ennis.2,1 She married Rt. Hon. Hugh Hyacinth O'Rorke MacDermot, The MacDermot, Prince of Coolavin, son of Charles Joseph MacDermot and Arabella Mary O'Rorke, on 1 December 1861.1 She died in 1871.1
     From 1 December 1861, her married name became MacDermot.

     Charles Edward MacDermot, The MacDermot, Prince of Coolavin was born on 29 December 1862.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Hugh Hyacinth O'Rorke MacDermot, The MacDermot, Prince of Coolavin and Mary Howley.2 He married Caroline Mary Whyte, daughter of John Joseph Whyte, on 10 October 1894.1 He died on 8 May 1947 at age 84.1
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England.1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Doctor of Law (LL.D.)1 He was a practising barrister in 1887.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Northern Irish Division, Royal Artillery.1 He was Chairman of the Irish Prisons Board.1

     He was educated Downside.1
