     She was educated at North London Collegiate School, London, England.1 She graduated from Barnard College, Columbia University, Manhattan, New York City, New York, U.S.A.G, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 From 17 May 1971, her married name became Neumann.

     Hon. Eleanor Katherine Lyell was the daughter of Leonard Lyell, 1st Baron Lyell and Mary Stirling.2 She married Sir Archibald Lawrence Langman, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Lawrence Langman, 1st Bt. and Mary Hannah Marks, on 5 January 1904.1 She died on 18 November 1963.1
     From 5 January 1904, her married name became Langman.

     Sir Archibald Lawrence Langman, 2nd Bt. was born on 2 September 1872.2 He was the son of Sir John Lawrence Langman, 1st Bt. and Mary Hannah Marks.2 He married Hon. Eleanor Katherine Lyell, daughter of Leonard Lyell, 1st Baron Lyell and Mary Stirling, on 5 January 1904.1 He died on 9 December 1949 at age 77.2
     He was served with Langman Field Hospital during the Boer War between 1899 and 1900.2 He gained the rank of Major in the Middlesext Yeomanry.2 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1902.1 He gained the rank of Major in the North Somerset Yeomanry.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Somerset.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Somerset.2 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Langman, of Eaton Square, in the City of Westminster [U.K., 1906] on 3 October 1928.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Somerset in 1938.2 He was appointed Officer, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (O.St.J.)2
