     John Lewthwaite was born in 1701.1 He was the son of William Lewthwaite and Catherine Lawson.2 He married Grace Jackson, daughter of Francis Jackson, in 1733.1 He died on 22 October 1790.1

     Gilfrid Lewthwaite was baptised on 2 September 1737.1 He was the son of John Lewthwaite and Grace Jackson.2 He died on 3 August 1779 at age 41 at North Pier, Whitehaven, Cumberland, England, drowned while bathing behind the North Pier.1
     He was a merchant at Whitehaven, Cumberland, England.1
