     Catherine Murray was born circa 1622 at Ochtertyre, Perthshire, Scotland.¹ She was the daughter of Patrick Murray, 7th of Ochtertyre and Mary Moray.¹ She married Patrick Campbell, 1st of Glentarken, son of Archibald Campbell of Lagvinshoch and Monzie and Christian Robertson.¹
     Her married name became Campbell.¹

     Henrietta Isabella Simpson was the daughter of Reverend Francis Simpson and Anne Strickland.² She married Reverend Digby Charles Legard, son of Digby Legard and Frances Creyke, on 6 October 1846.¹ She died in 1897.¹
     From 6 October 1846, her married name became Legard.

     Digby Charles Legard was born on 1 July 1851.¹ He was the son of Reverend Digby Charles Legard and Henrietta Isabella Simpson.² He married Eleanor Clementina Bruce, daughter of Reverend David Bruce, on 19 August 1880.¹ He died on 16 February 1924 at age 72.¹

     Reverend David Bruce held the office of Canon of Durham.¹

     Eleanor Clementina Bruce was the daughter of Reverend David Bruce.² She married Digby Charles Legard, son of Reverend Digby Charles Legard and Henrietta Isabella Simpson, on 19 August 1880.¹ She died on 13 April 1935.¹
     From 19 August 1880, her married name became Legard.

     George Bruce Legard was born on 7 March 1885.¹ He was the son of Digby Charles Legard and Eleanor Clementina Bruce.² He died on 27 October 1914 at age 29, killed in action.²
     He fought in the First World War, he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal West Kent Regiment.¹

     Reverend Charles Legard was born on 9 June 1887.¹ He was the son of Digby Charles Legard and Eleanor Clementina Bruce.² He married Ethel Gertrude Marriott, daughter of Reverend George Strickland Marriott and Gertrude Hole, on 23 July 1918.¹ He died on 15 August 1976 at age 89.¹
     He was educated in 1897 at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.¹ He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Lincolnshire Regiment, and Aide-de-Camp Personal Staff.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1916.¹ He was Rector between 1937 and 1958 at Burghclere, Berkshire, England.¹

     Reverend George Strickland Marriott was born in 1855.² He was the son of Reverend James Powell Coulton Constable and Lucy Henrietta Strickland.² He married Gertrude Hole on 30 April 1885 at Bray, Berkshire, England.² He died in 1905.²
     He was Rector at Cotesbach, Leicestershire, England.²

     Ethel Gertrude Marriott was born in 1889.² She was the daughter of Reverend George Strickland Marriott and Gertrude Hole.^3,2 She married Reverend Charles Legard, son of Digby Charles Legard and Eleanor Clementina Bruce, on 23 July 1918.¹ She died on 25 August 1973.¹
     From 23 July 1918, her married name became Legard.

     Lt.-Cdr. George Hugo Digby Legard was born on 26 February 1920.¹ He was the son of Reverend Charles Legard and Ethel Gertrude Marriott.² He married Eve Lilian Howard, daughter of Captain Francis Howard, on 30 March 1944.¹ He died on 17 June 1966 at age 46.¹
     Lt.-Cdr. George Hugo Digby Legard usually went by his middle name of Hugo. He was educated at Royal Naval College, Darmouth, Devon, England.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Commander in the Royal Navy.¹ He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1943.¹
