     Elizabeth Messenger was the daughter of William Messenger.² She married Sir Thomas Tancred, 3rd Bt., son of Sir William Tancred, 2nd Bt. and Dorothy Wilde, in 1712.¹ She died circa 18 December 1753.¹ She was buried on 21 December 1753.¹
     From 1712, her married name became Tancred.

     Sir Thomas Tancred, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Messenger.² He married Judith Dalton, daughter of Peter Dalton, in 1740.¹ He died on 30 May 1759.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Tancred, of Boroughbridge, co. York [E., 1662] circa 24 August 1744.¹

     Peter Dalton lived at Grenanstown, County Tipperary, Ireland.¹

     Judith Dalton was the daughter of Peter Dalton.² She married Sir Thomas Tancred, 4th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Messenger, in 1740.¹ She died in 1781.¹
     From 1740, her married name became Tancred.

     Sir Thomas Tancred, 5th Bt. was the son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 4th Bt. and Judith Dalton.² He married Penelope Smith, daughter of Thomas Assheton Smith, on 7 October 1776.¹ He died on 3 August 1784.¹
     He was a practising barrister.¹ He graduated with a Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.)¹ He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Tancred, of Boroughbridge, co. York [E., 1662] on 30 May 1759.¹

     Thomas Assheton Smith lived at Bowdon, Cheshire, England.¹

     Penelope Smith was the daughter of Thomas Assheton Smith.² She married Sir Thomas Tancred, 5th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 4th Bt. and Judith Dalton, on 7 October 1776.¹ She died on 21 April 1837.¹
     From 7 October 1776, her married name became Tancred.

     Sir Thomas Tancred, 6th Bt. was born on 24 July 1780.¹ He was the son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 5th Bt. and Penelope Smith.² He married Harriet Lucy Crewe, daughter of Reverend Offley Crewe, on 25 April 1805.¹ He died on 29 August 1844 at age 64.¹
     He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Tancred, of Boroughbridge, co. York [E., 1662] on 3 August 1784.¹

     Reverend Offley Crewe is the son of Reverend Randulph Crewe and Ann Read.
     He lived at Muxton, Staffordshire, England.¹

     Harriet Lucy Crewe was the daughter of Reverend Offley Crewe.² She married Sir Thomas Tancred, 6th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Tancred, 5th Bt. and Penelope Smith, on 25 April 1805.¹ She died on 16 June 1864.¹
     From 25 April 1805, her married name became Tancred.
