     Maj.-Gen. Roderic Loraine Petre was born on 28 November 1887.1 He was the son of Francis Loraine Petre and Maude Ellen Rawlinson.1 He married Katherine Sophia Bryans, daughter of Herbert William Bryans and Louisa Richardson, on 12 July 1922.1 He died on 21 July 1971 at age 83.1
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He was commissioned, in the service of the Dorsetshire Regiment.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches seven times.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was Chief Staff and Commander, Sudan between 1936 and 1938.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in 1939 in the South Wales Borderers.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1940.1

     Francis Herbert Loraine Petre was born on 9 March 1927.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Roderic Loraine Petre and Katherine Sophia Bryans.1 He married Mary Jane White, daughter of Everard Charles Xavier White, on 19 April 1958.1 He died on 25 February 2015 at age 87.2
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.1 He graduated from Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was admitted to Lincoln's Inn in 1952 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He held the office of Circuit Judge between 1972 and 1997.1 He held the office of Judge of Central Criminal Court between 1982 and 1993.1 He was chairman of Police Complaints Authority between 1989 and 1992.1 He lived in 2003 at The Ferriers, Bures, Suffolk, England.1
