     Sir Harry Jephcott, 1st Bt. was born on 15 January 1891.1 He was the son of John Josiah Jephcott and Helen Matthews.2 He married Doris Gregory, daughter of Henry Gregory, on 19 April 1919.1 He died on 29 June 1978 at age 87.1
     He was educated at King Edward's School, Birmingham, Warwickshire, EnglandG.2 He was with Customs & Excise Department between 1912 and 1914.1 He was wit the Department of Government Chemist between 1914 and 1919.2 He graduated from West Ham Technical College, West Ham, Essex, England, in 1915 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)1 He graduated from West Ham Technical College, West Ham, Essex, England, in 1918 with a Master of Science (M.Sc.)2 He was chief chemist with Glaxo Labs in 1919.2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Institute of Chemistry (F.R.I.C.) in 1920.1 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1925 entitled to practise as a barrister.1 He was general manager of Glaxo Labs in 1925.2 He was managing director of Glaxo Labs in 1935.2 He was appointed Fellow, Pharmaceutical Society (F.P.S.)2 He was chairman and managing director of Glaxo Labs between 1945 and 1956.2 He was appointed Knight in 1946.1 He was chairman of Glaxo Labs between 1956 and 1961.2 He was chairman of Glaxo Group between 1962 and 1963.2 He was created 1st Baronet Jephcott, of East Portlemouth, co. Devon [U.K.] on 14 February 1962.1

     Doris Gregory was the daughter of Henry Gregory.2 She married Sir Harry Jephcott, 1st Bt., son of John Josiah Jephcott and Helen Matthews, on 19 April 1919.1 She died in 1985.2
     She was appointed Fellow, Pharmaceutical Society (F.P.S.)1 From 19 April 1919, her married name became Jephcott.

Sir John Anthony Jephcott, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir John Anthony Jephcott, 2nd Bt. was born on 21 May 1924.1 He was the son of Sir Harry Jephcott, 1st Bt. and Doris Gregory.2 He married, firstly, Sylvia Mary Relling, daughter of Thorsten Frederick Relling, on 15 December 1949.1 He and Sylvia Mary Relling were divorced in 1978.2 He married, secondly, Josephine Agnes Sheridan, daughter of Philip Sheridan, in 1978.1 He died on 7 August 2003 at age 79, without male issue.1
     Sir John Anthony Jephcott, 2nd Bt. usually went by his middle name of Anthony.1 He was educated at Aldenham School, Elstree, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.2 He fought in the Second World War in 1944, with Royal Electricial and Mechanical Engineers WW II and Royal Army Engineering Corps.1 He was educated at St. John's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He was educated at London School of Economics, London, EnglandG, Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)2 He was managing director and chairman of Longworth Scientific Instrument Company between 1952 and 1973.1 He was managing director and chairman of Pen Medic (NZ) in 1973.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Jephcott, of East Portlemouth, co. Devon [U.K., 1962] on 29 June 1978.2 He wrote the book A History of Longworth Scientific Instrument Company Ltd.1

     Sylvia Mary Relling was born circa 1923.2 She was the daughter of Thorsten Frederick Relling.3 She married Sir John Anthony Jephcott, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Harry Jephcott, 1st Bt. and Doris Gregory, on 15 December 1949.1 She and Sir John Anthony Jephcott, 2nd Bt. were divorced in 1978.3 She died on 4 November 2014.2
     From 15 December 1949, her married name became Jephcott.
