     Reverend Hugh Innes was born on 30 July 1727.1 He was the son of James Innes and Katharine Falconer.2 He married Jean Graham, daughter of Thomas Graham of Bogton of Rednock.1 He died in 1765, with other issue (died young):.1
     He lived at Parkhouse, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.1

Sir Hugh Innes of Lochalsh, 1st and last Bt.1

     Sir Hugh Innes of Lochalsh, 1st and last Bt. was born in 1764.1 He was the son of Reverend Hugh Innes and Jean Graham.2 He died on 14 September 1831, unmarried.1
     He was he unsuccessfully claimed the baronetcy of Innes of Coxton before the Lyon Court between 1784 and 1811.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ross and Cromarty between 1809 and 1812.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wick Burghs between 1812 and 1818.1 He was created 1st Baronet Innes, of Lochalsh, Balmacara, Ross-shire and of Coxton, Morayshire [U.K.] on 29 October 1818.1 In 1819 he was granted armorial supporters.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Wick Burghs between 1820 and 1830.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sutherland in 1831.1
