William Harcourt Sawyer and Edith Mary Rachel Hanbury.1,2 He married Mary Thyra Mackenzie, daughter of Osgood Hanbury Mackenzie and Minna Amy Edwards-Moss, in July 1935.1 He died on 25 October 1945 at age 62.1

William Harcourt Sawyer was born on 21 October 1848.2 He was the son of George Cappelen Sawyer and Mary Rebecca Hilhouse.3 He married Edith Mary Rachel Hanbury, daughter of George Hanbury and Mary Trotter, on 19 July 1882 at Hitcham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.3 He died on 13 December 1926 at age 78 at MAidenhead, Berkshire, EnglandG.2,3
     He gained the rank of officer in the 4th King's Own Royal Lancaster Regiment.2 He gained the rank of Afghan War between 1878 and 1879.2 He gained the rank of officer in the 43rd Light Infantry.2 He fought in the Sudan Expedition in 1885.2 He lived in 1891 at High View, Castle Hill, Bray, Maidenhead, Berkshire, EnglandG.3 He was Military Secretary to the Governor of the Cape in 1893.2 He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the North Staffordshire Regiment.2

     Sir Roderick Mackenzie of Scatwell, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Kenneth Mackenzie of Scatwell, 1st Bt. and Lilas Mackenzie.2 He married Janet Grant, daughter of Ludovic Grant, 8th of Freuchie and 1st of Grant and Janet Brodie, in 1710.2 He died on 24 April 1750.2
     He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Mackenzie, of Scatwell, co. Ross [N.S., 1703] in 1729.2
