     Thomas Crawfurd, 2nd of Cartsburn was born on 5 October 1662 at Cartsburn House, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.2 He was baptised on 12 October 1662 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2 He was the son of Thomas Crawfurd, 1st of Cartsburn and Joan Semple.2 He married Rebecca Barns, daughter of John Barns and Elizabeth Parkhill, on 11 September 1682 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2 He married Berthia Robertson, daughter of Archibald Robertson, 2nd of Bedlay, on 30 April 1695 at Church of Scotland, Cadder, Lanarkshire, Scotland.2 He died on 3 February 1743 at age 80.2
