     William Hope Hay was born on 8 June 1862.1 He was the son of General Alexander Charles Hay and Annie Dobbs.1 He married Emma Elizabeth Bates, daughter of William Bates, on 16 September 1891.1 He died in April 1920 at age 57.1

     Una Constance Clerk is the daughter of James Clerk.1 She married, firstly, William Frank Hay, son of William Hope Hay and Emma Elizabeth Bates, on 21 August 1923.1 She married, secondly, E. Marshall after 1940.1
     From 21 August 1923, her married name became Hay.1 From after 1940, her married name became Marshall.1

     Lt.-Col. George Harold Hay was born on 30 August 1893.1 He was the son of William Hope Hay and Emma Elizabeth Bates.1 He married Patricia Mary Hugonin, daughter of Major Etienne Hugonin, on 20 July 1935.1 He died on 13 December 1967 at age 74.1
     He was educated at Highland School, Hamilton, Ontario, CanadaG.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Kingston, Ontario, CanadaG.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Scots.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1917.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Berwickshire in 1948.1
