     James West was born on 11 June 1805.1 He was the son of Jacob West and Sarah Fry.1 He married, firstly, Brillianna Clarke, daughter of John Clarke, on 2 September 1829.1 He married, secondly, Ismenia Euphemia Catherine Langley, daughter of Major Edward Archer Langley, in 1852.1 He died on 6 October 1868 at age 63.1
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Dublin in 1856.1 He lived at Shanganagh Grove, County Dublin, IrelandG.1
