Godfrey Greene was born in 1777.1 He was the son of John Greene and Nina Boyse.2,1 He married Margaret Poulter, daughter of Reverend Joseph Poulter and Margaret Denis, on 13 February 1806 at St. Olave, Waterford, County Waterford, Ireland.1,3 He died on 4 May 1859.1
He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 6th and 4th Regiments.1 He lived at Greenmount, County Kilkenny, Ireland.1
