     Sir George Cyril Rowley Hill, 8th Bt. was born on 18 December 1890.1 He was the son of Sir George Rowley Hill, 7th Bt. and Alice Estelle Harley Bacon.2 He married Edith Muriel Thomas, daughter of W. O. Thomas, on 15 July 1919.1 He died, without issue.1
     Sir George Cyril Rowley Hill, 8th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Cyril. He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He was a journalist.1 He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Hill, of Brook Hall, co. Londonderry [I., 1779] on 30 June 1954.1

     Vice-Admiral Marcus Rowley Hill was born on 13 March 1867.1 He was the son of Rt. Rev. Rowley Hill and Caroline Maud Chapman.2 He married Ellen Mabel Mellor, daughter of Rt. Hon. John William Mellor and Carole Paget, on 17 November 1908.1 He died on 8 February 1925 at age 57.1
     He was awarded the Officier, Ordre national de la Légion d'honneur.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1

     Rt. Hon. John William Mellor was born on 26 July 1835 at London, England.2 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir John Mellor and Elizabeth Cooke Moseley.2 He married Carole Paget, daughter of Charles Paget.2 He died on 13 October 1911 at age 76 at Taunton, Somerset, England.2
     He was educated at Trinity Hall, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.2 He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1860 entitled to practise as a barrister-at-law.2 He held the office of Recorder of Grantham between 1871 and 1874.2 He was appointed Queen's Counsel (Q.C.) in 1875.3 He held the office of Bencher of Inner Temple in 1877.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Grantham between 1880 and 1886.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1886.1 He held the office of Judge Advocate General between February 1886 and August 1886.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Sowerby between 1892 and 1904.2

     Sir George Alfred Rowley Hill, 9th Bt. was born on 11 October 1899.1 He was the son of Alfred Rowley Hill and Jean Cunninghame.2 He married, firstly, Rose Ethel Kathleen Spratt, daughter of William Richard Spratt, on 20 December 1924.1 He and Rose Ethel Kathleen Spratt were divorced in 1938.1 He married, secondly, Jessie Anne Roberts in 1938.1 He died in 1985.1,3
     He was educated at Melville College, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Indian Army.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Hill, of Brook Hall, co. Londonderry [I., 1779] after 1954.1
