     John Barlow Hickman was born on 13 September 1904.¹ He was the son of John Owen Hickman and Nancy Barlow.² He married Joan Hankinson, daughter of Kyrle Chatfield Hankinson and Maud Mary le Fleming, on 9 September 1925.¹ He died on 26 May 1932 at age 27.¹
