     Matthew Deas Stewart was born on 2 February 1870.1 He was the son of James Stewart and Annie Henderson.2 He married Isabella Niven Stevens Todd, daughter of William Todd, in 1896.1 He died on 20 August 1950 at age 80.1
     He lived at Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland.1

     Isabella Niven Stevens Todd was the daughter of William Todd.2 She married Matthew Deas Stewart, son of James Stewart and Annie Henderson, in 1896.1 She died on 11 March 1956.1
     From 1896, her married name became Stewart.

Sir James Henderson-Stewart, 1st Bt.1

     Sir James Henderson-Stewart, 1st Bt. was born on 6 December 1897.1 He was the son of Matthew Deas Stewart and Isabella Niven Stevens Todd.2 He married Anna Margaret Greenwell, daughter of Sir Bernard Eyre Greenwell, 2nd Bt. and Anna Elizabeth McClintock, on 25 July 1940.1 He died on 3 September 1961 at age 63.1
     He was given the name of James Henderson Stewart at birth.1 He was educated at Morrisons Academy, Crieff, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, in 1922 with a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.)1 He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, in 1923 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He was on Lloyd George's staff between 1924 and 1929.1 He was with Unilever between 1929 and 1933.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for East Fife between 1933 and 1961.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He held the office of Joint Parlimentary Under-Secretary for the Scottish Office between 1952 and 1957.1 On 1957 Sir James Henderson-Stewart, 1st Bt. title's name changed to James Henderson Henderson-Stewart by Deed Poll.1 He was created 1st Baronet Henderson-Stewart, of Callumshill, co. Perth [U.K.] on 28 March 1957.1
