     John Fordell Henderson was born on 27 August 1879 at Goulburn, New South Wales, Australia.1 He was the son of John Cunningham Henderson and Ann Janet Macalister.2 He died on 17 February 1904 at age 24 at Suva, Fiji, without issue.1
     He wrote the book The Opium Slave and other verses.1
