     Elizabeth Hay was born in 1750.2 She was the daughter of Sir James Hay, 4th Bt. and Dorriel Campbell.1 She married Sir William Forbes of Monymusk, 6th Bt., son of Sir William Forbes of Monymusk, 5th Bt. and Christian Forbes, on 20 September 1770.1 She died in 1802.1 She was also reported to have died on 26 December 1789.2
     From 20 September 1770, her married name became Forbes.1

     Sir James Hay, 4th Bt. was the son of John Hay and Grizel Thomson.2 He married Dorriel Campbell, daughter of Daniel Campbell, on 13 December 1751.3 He died on 21 October 1810.3
     He graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)4 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Hay, of Smithfield, co. Peebles [N.S., 1635] on 9 November 1805, after the title was restored to him.4

     Dorriel Campbell was the daughter of Daniel Campbell.2 She married Sir James Hay, 4th Bt., son of John Hay and Grizel Thomson, on 13 December 1751.3 She died on 28 March 1770.2
     From 13 December 1751, her married name became Hay.1

     Williamina Stuart was the daughter of Sir John Wishart Stuart of Fettercairn, 4th Bt. and Lady Jane Leslie.1 She married Sir William Forbes of Pitsligo, 7th Bt., son of Sir William Forbes of Monymusk, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth Hay, on 19 January 1797.1 She died on 5 December 1810.1
     From 19 January 1797, her married name became Forbes.1
