     Griselda Harriet Violet Finetta Georgina Hervey was born on 1 October 1901.1 She was the daughter of Dudley Francis Amelius Hervey and Griselda Mary Theophila Campbell.2 She married Clarence Napier Bruce, 3rd Baron Aberdare of Duffryn, son of Major Henry Campbell Bruce, 2nd Baron Aberdare of Duffryn and Constance Mary Beckett, on 12 September 1957.2 She died in 1980.2
     From 12 September 1957, her married name became Bruce. After her marriage, Griselda Harriet Violet Finetta Georgina Hervey was styled as Baroness Aberdare of Duffryn on 12 September 1957.

     Dudley Francis Amelius Hervey was born on 7 January 1849.2 He was the son of Rev. Lord Charles Amelius Hervey and Lady Harriet Charlottte Sophia Ryder.2 He married Griselda Mary Theophila Campbell, daughter of Colonel Sir Edward Fitzgerald Campbell, 2nd Bt. and Georgiana Charlotte Theophila Metcalfe, on 7 June 1894.2 He died on 1 June 1911 at age 62.2
     He was registered as a Member, Royal Asiatic Society (M.R.A.S.)2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)2 He was Resident Counsellor of Malacca.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)3 He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)3

     Griselda Mary Theophila Campbell was born in 1869.3 She was the daughter of Colonel Sir Edward Fitzgerald Campbell, 2nd Bt. and Georgiana Charlotte Theophila Metcalfe.1,4 She married Dudley Francis Amelius Hervey, son of Rev. Lord Charles Amelius Hervey and Lady Harriet Charlottte Sophia Ryder, on 7 June 1894.2 She died on 1 April 1929.2
     Her married name became Hervey.
