     He was educated at Pangbourne Nautical College, Pangbourne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

     Major Nicholas Brian Hanmer was born on 18 July 1921.1 He was the son of Thomas William Hanmer and Ivy Mira Frances Dodd.2 He married, firstly, Felicity Mary Sly, daughter of Frank William Sly, on 7 January 1944.1 He married, secondly, Betty May Smith, daughter of Harry Smith, in 1970.1 He married, thirdly, Destine Marie Jolliffe, daughter of Reginald Harry John Jolliffe, after 1999.1 He died in September 2003 at age 82 at Ipswich, Suffolk, England.3
     He was educated at Nautical College, Pangbourne, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major between 1943 and 1949 in the Royal Sussex Regiment, seconded to the Parachute Regiment.1 He was Senior District Commissioner, Colonial Service.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1961.1 He lived in 2003 at West Holme West, 71b Cumberland Strreet, Woodbridge, Suffolk, EnglandG.1
