     John Anthony Hanmer was born on 27 September 1928.1 He was the son of William Francis Busby Hanmer and Margaret Norman.2 He married, firstly, Margaret May Morrison, daughter of I. G. Morrison, in 1952.1 He and Margaret May Morrison were divorced in 1973.1 He married, secondly, Dale Bernice Dickinson, daughter of J. A. Dickinson, in 1973.1 He died in October 1994 at age 66.1
