     Colonel Alexander Charles Broughton Mackinnon was the son of Colonel Walter Carr Mackinnon.2 He married Dorothy Constance Hammick, daughter of Sir Murray Hammick and Ada Constance Searle, on 7 May 1921.1 He died on 6 May 1942.1
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 9th Gurkhas Rifles.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1

     Frances Grace Hammick was the daughter of Rev. Sir St. Vincent Love Hammick, 2nd Bt. and Mary Alexander.2 She married George Andrew Spottiswoode, son of Andrew Spottiswoode, on 9 April 1863.1 She died on 5 February 1933.1
     From 9 April 1863, her married name became Spottiswoode.
