John Pascoe Grenfell and Adeline Octavia Lambart.2 He married, firstly, Mary June Herron Weaver, daughter of Frederick William Herron Weaver and Lucy May L. Woodsend, on 6 December 1944 at Westminster, London, England.1,3 He and Mary June Herron Weaver were divorced in 1958.1 He married, secondly, Jeannette Patricia Mary May, daughter of H. W. May, on 4 May 1962.1 He died on 21 December 1985 at age 76 at Stemster, Halkirk, Caithness, ScotlandG.4
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He retired from the military in 1956, with the rank of Commander, late of the Royal Navy.1 He was with the Foreign Office in 1956.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Caithness in 1977.1
