     Katherine de Burgh was the daughter of Richard de Burgh, 2nd Earl of Ulster and Margaret de Guînes.1 She married Maurice fitz Thomas, 1st Earl of Desmond, son of Thomas fitz Maurice and Margaret de Berkeley, on 5 August 1312 at Green Castle, County Down, IrelandG.1,2 She died circa 1 November 1331 at Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.3
     From 5 August 1312, her married name became FitzGerald.1
