     John Gethin was born in December 1798.¹ He was the son of John Gethin and Margaret Jones.² He married Ann Stuart Irwin, daughter of Jones Taafe Irwin, in January 1830.¹
     He held the office of High Sheriff of County Sligo in 1827.¹

     Ann Stuart Irwin is the daughter of Jones Taafe Irwin.² She married John Gethin, son of John Gethin and Margaret Jones, in January 1830.¹
     From January 1830, her married name became Gethin.

     John Gethin was born on 25 January 1831.¹ He was the son of John Gethin and Ann Stuart Irwin.² He married Emmeline Horsfall, daughter of Thomas Horsfall, on 1 June 1858.¹ He died in 1860.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Sligo Rifle Regiment.¹

     Emmeline Horsfall is the daughter of Thomas Horsfall.¹ She married, firstly, John Gethin, son of John Gethin and Ann Stuart Irwin, on 1 June 1858.¹ She married, secondly, Reverend John Henry Hudleston on 23 May 1867.¹
     From 1 June 1858, her married name became Gethin. From 23 May 1867, her married name became Hudleston.¹

     John Percy Gethin was born on 9 April 1859.¹ He was the son of John Gethin and Emmeline Horsfall.² He married Emily Maria Bright, daughter of General Sir Robert Onesiphorus Bright and Catherine Miles, on 19 December 1912.¹ He died on 11 March 1934 at age 74.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for the West Riding, Yorkshire.¹ He gained the rank of Brevet Colonel in the Manchester Regiment.¹

     Ann Edith Kermode was the daughter of William Edwin Kermode.¹ She married John Passmore Widgery, Baron Widgery in 1948.¹ She died on 20 May 2003 at Ballasalla, Isle of Man.¹
     From 1948, her married name became Widgery.¹

     Emily Maria Bright was born on 10 October 1861.² She was the daughter of General Sir Robert Onesiphorus Bright and Catherine Miles.^3,2 She was baptised on 5 November 1861 at Murree, Bengal, India.² She married John Percy Gethin, son of John Gethin and Emmeline Horsfall, on 19 December 1912.¹ She died in February 1944 at age 82.¹
     From 19 December 1912, her married name became Gethin.
