     Alexandra Mary Campbell Geddes was born on 31 May 1872.1 She was the daughter of Auckland Campbell Geddes and Christina Helen McLeod Anderson.2 She married Douglas Chalmers Watson on 28 July 1898.1 She died on 7 August 1936 at age 64.1
     She was educated at St. Leonard's School, St. Andrews, Fife, ScotlandG.2 She was educated at St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, ScotlandG.2 She graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, in 1894 with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)1 She graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, with a Master of Surgery (C.M.)2 She graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG, in 1898 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 From 28 July 1898, her married name became Watson. She was Physician at Edinburgh Hospital for Women and Children, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 She was first Controller for the Women's Auxiliary Air Force during the First World War in 1917.2 She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1917.1
