     Sir George Ingoldsby was born in 1624 at Lenborough Manor, Lenborough, Buckinghamshire, England.2 He was the son of Sir Richard Ingoldsby and Elizabeth Cromwell.1 He married Mary Gould, daughter of James Gould.3 He died in March 1701 at Ballybricken, County Limerick, Ireland, killed in action.1,2
     He fought in the Dutch Wars.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the Cromwell's army in Ireland.2 He held the office of Mayor of Limerick.2
