     Joseph Farquharson of Finzean was born on 4 May 1846.1 He was the son of Francis Farquharson of Finzean and Alison Mary Ainslie.2 He married Violet Evelyn Hay, daughter of James Tonor Hay of Blackhall, on 14 September 1914.1 He died on 15 April 1935 at age 88, without issue.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Aberdeenshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Aberdeenshire.1

     William Walker Farquharson was born on 23 May 1841.1 He was the son of Joseph Canvin Farquharson and Angelica Erskine.2 He married Hamilton Belhaven Gillan, daughter of Rt. Rev. Robert Gillan, on 18 February 1864.1 He died on 10 February 1910 at age 68.1
     He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1 He was an indigo planter in India for 26 years.1 He lived at 69 Great King Street, Edinburgh, Midlothian, ScotlandG.1
