     Captain Wilfred Pollen Haviland was the son of Reverend Arthur Coles Haviland.2 He married Beryl Marion Durand, daughter of Colonel Sir Edward Law Durand, 1st Bt. and Maude Ellen Heber-Percy, on 13 October 1915.1 He died on 9 May 1947.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.)1

     She was educated at Abbots Hill School, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 From 19 October 1946, her married name became Sparks. She was the Headmistress between 1964 and 1978 at Berkhamsted School, Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.1 She lived in 2003 at The Old Vicarage, Compton Abdale, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.1

     He gained the rank of Major in the King Edward's Own Gurkha Rifles.1
