     Major Malcolm James Russell Dundas was born on 2 January 1859.1 He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Charles Stirling Dundas and Mary Louisa Knatchbull.2 He married Margaret Ann Holford, daughter of Thomas Holford and Margaret Loveden, on 8 February 1893.1 He died on 1 August 1944 at age 85.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 3rd Battalion, The Buffs.1
