Lt.-Col. Robert Michael Maxwell1

     Lt.-Col. Robert Michael Maxwell was born on 29 March 1919.1 He was the son of Captain Thomas Kennedy Maxwell and Zoë de Burgh.2 He married Sylvie Adrienne Wistrand, daughter of Hugo Wistrand, on 5 March 1955.1 He died in September 1999 at age 80 at Chichester, Sussex, England.3
     He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He gained the rank of officer between 1948 and 1951 in the London Irish Rifles (Territorial Army.)1 In 1955 he transferred to Royal Military Police.1 He gained the rank of officer in the 5th Royal Gurkha Rifles (Frontier Force.)1 He gained the rank of officer in the 2nd KEO Gurkha Rifles.1 He retired from the military in 1969, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Royal Military Police.1 He lived in 1976 at St. Martin's, Kilcroney Lane, Bray, County Wicklow, IrelandG.1

     From 5 March 1955, her married name became Maxwell.1
