     Sir Herbert Henniker-Heaton was born on 9 February 1880 at New South Wales, Australia.1,2 He was the son of Sir John Henniker-Heaton, 1st Bt. and Rose Bennett.3,4 He married, firstly, Susan Angele Phoebe Anne Talbot-Crosbie, daughter of Lindsey Bertie Talbot-Crosbie and Anne Crosbie Coke, on 5 August 1909.1 He married, secondly, Helena Iris McCallum, daughter of Sir Henry McCallum, on 8 June 1926.4 He married, thirdly, Gladys Meta Francis, daughter of Colonel Claud Augustus Francis, on 27 January 1947.4 He died on 24 January 1961 at age 80.5
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.4 He graduated from New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1901 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was Colonial Secretary of Gambia in 1917.1 He held the office of Acting Governor of Gambia between 1918 and 1920.1 He was Colonial Secretary of the Falkland Islands in 1921.1 He was Acting Governor of the Falkland Islands between 1923 and 1924.1 He was Colonial Secretary of Bermuda between 1925 and 1929.1 He was Colonial Secretary of Cyprus between 1929 and 1934.1 He held the office of Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Falkland Islands between January 1935 and 1941.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)1
